PEP Therapy
Description
The Circulaire II aerosol delivery system with built-in PEP enhances the aerosol treatment by providing lung expansion and airway clearance along with aerosolized drugs. PEP slows expiratory flow, builds up a modest amount of back-pressure, slightly prolongs the expiratory phase and dilates and “splints” the airways and alveoli thereby preventing small airway collapse, promoting lung expansion and airway clearance and improving aerosol distribution and deposition.
